In 2024, the Indianapolis Meridian Foundation honored six more nonprofits as Arago Honor recipients for innovation. This group of nonprofits share $122,000 in varying amounts. The small award program for nonprofits has been shining a light on levels of disruptive innovation since it began in 2021 and has now recognized 33 nonprofits!

Nonprofit innovation is defined as a creative break in practice, large or small, solving a community problem.

The 2024 Arago Honor recipients and their awards and innovation recognition level are:

  • Big Car Collaborative -- $20,000 disruptive sustainable innovator.

  • Fonseca Theatre Company -- $15,000 disruptive sustainable innovator.

  • Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana -- $30,000 disruptive innovator.

  • St. Matthew’s House of Naples, Florida -- $12,000 incremental innovation.

  • Trinity Free Clinic -- $25,000 for disruptive innovation.

  • You Yes You! -- $20,000 for catch-up innovation.

Separately,  the Meridian Foundation has also recognized in 2025 five previous Arago Honor recipients with additional $10,000 awards for their continued work as innovating nonprofits.  Recognized are Eskenazi Health Foundation, Early Learning Indiana, Joy's House, Pattern, and Patchwork Indy.  More information regarding their selection is here

Information about the 2025 Arago Honors application process will be ready in May 2025.  Potential applications  will apply through a Short Inquiry Form to be linked to this website tentatively on May 15, 2025.
