Update

Last year The Meridian Foundation honored 11 more local nonprofits for innovation, bringing the total to 26 nonprofits receiving $10,000 each in three years.

The one-page rationale and summaries for the selection of the eleven 2023 innovating nonprofits can be found here. We are very pleased to share these inspiring stories and hope more nonprofits will consider taking risks in our city to affect change.

Nonprofit innovation is defined as a creative break in practice, large or small, solving a community problem.

In 2024, the Meridian Foundation is pausing its structured and time-sensitive application process awarding $10,000 to innovating nonprofits. It has been a fun three years of discovery! This pause does not diminish our quest to support and celebrate nonprofit innovation. As we seek a new direction for highlighting innovation, we are very grateful to the nearly 200 nonprofits that have applied to The Meridian Foundation.

We welcome questions, potential site visit opportunities, or information about outstanding innovation stories (including future planning) that are ready for discovery and funding to be sent to indymeridianfoundation@gmail.org. We encourage central Indiana nonprofits of all sizes to dream!
